KPV Chapter Commemoration of Carol Robertson Day

On Friday, September 12, 2014, the Katy-Prairie View Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. celebrated the memory of Carole Robertson with a chapter-wide viewing of Spike Lee’s documentary movie, “Four Little Girls”. Carole Robertson along with three other little girls, Addie Mae Collins, Cynthia Wesley, and Denise McNair were killed in the bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL on September 12, 1963. Carole Robertson was a teen member of the Birmingham, AL Chapter of Jack & Jill. Each September, Jack and Jill chapters throughout the country are encouraged to commemorate Miss Robertson’s brief life by holding an event in her memory.

The chapter viewed the movie at Crosspoint Community Church in Katy, TX and afterwards a discussion was lead by Dr. LeCresha Peters.
